I. Tree Fall[]

"Trees became one of the most prolific explorers of the Solverse, once they became self-aware. With lifespans in the thousands of years, low maintenance needs in deep space, and an endless supply of patience, they were the ideal crewmen for probes across the void. However, not every species of tree saw it as their duty to explore the realm of the fast movers. The Gantcha Tree, shown here, was hardened to survive in outer space. It created heat in its high-flow branches and greenery, and it was able to detach seed pods which doubled as explosive bombs when threats were around. This made them the perfect defensive weapon for species who were unafraid to ignore the moral implications of using sentient beings to act as guard dogs on their wide frontiers. Later tree species would often commandeer their own ships to go out and rescue those abused ancestors."
