I. Purple Soil[]

"The painted soil of Cellaphar XI. There are plenty of examples of animals and insects using color and bioluminescence to light themselves during the night times of their worlds, but there is one special example of a much larger specimen worth mentioning. The world of Cellaphar XI has ground soil which glows with life in the overnight hours. This adaptation helps bugs and plants feed, even when the local star has set. Where exposed, the soil can often be mistaken for pools of water, which are also colorful in their own right. However, the real payoff is seeing the entire planet from space. The spinning world glows from within, creating marble-like swirls that dance under the stars as they pass you by."
