"The Valley of a Thousand Lights. Fos Khanda. They say if you gaze through a single one of these lights, you can see through to the other side. The other worlds. Just like this one but different. These lights are like tears in the cloth of the universe. They allow us to catch a glimpse of what might have been, had we done things just a bit differently, had we said a different word or heard different stories. They say that there are eight such worlds. That everything in the Solverse is made of eights. Eight elements, eight worlds, eight gods. But these lights are everywhere in the world. Haven't you noticed? Like little stars, like sparkling motes of dust hanging in the air, reflecting off water or stone or glass. But here, at Fos Khanda, the lights shine the brightest. Like they want to be seen. Like they want to show you. The vast and beautiful Solverse."
